Sprinkler Viking introduces a new ESFR pendent sprinkler with a K factor of 16.8 (242). Sprinkler uses a fast response fusible element and provides protection for common storage materials without the use of in-rack sprinklers. Sprinkler is also approved for up to 45 ft. (13,7 m) high buildings and up to 40 ft. (12,2 m) storage heights with one row of in-rack sprinklers installed. The new K17 ESFR has a 3/4 in NPT (20 mm) thread size and is available in both 165 F (74 C) and 205 F (96 C) temperature ratings. In addition, the sprinkler is dimensionally shorter than similar competitive products, which can help alleviate concerns about exceeding the maximum installed distance of the sprinkler to the ceiling. |

Water Temperature Control System Leonard's high-capacity water temperature control systems provide consistent mixed water temperatures over a wide range of flows and are designed for large commercial/institutional installations with high mixed water capacity requirements where large pressure drops cannot be tolerated. Preassembled systems include two, three or even four Leonard Type thermostatic water mixing valves piped together in special manifolds. Large demands for mixed water are supplied from either one or two large thermostatic mixers, while one or two small thermostatic mixers supply off-peak small demands. Flow rates range from 1.0 minimum to 453 GPM maximum. |

Features include floating eyelets to permit the stainless-steel clamp bands to move independently from the stainless-steel shield to prevent crimping during installation, heavy-duty (5/16 in. for the MI-HUB and 3/8 in. for the MI-XHUB) hex head screws for maximum installation torque, a one-piece stainless-steel screw housing that mechanically interlocks the housing to the stainless steel band. This one piece housing eliminates leak paths than can develop with welded or staked clamps and a gasket is designed to form fit around the pipe and the inside of the shield so that when the clamping forces are applied, a superior sealing pressure and holding power is achieved. |
